Deadline day here at the paper. I'm busy working on stuff with a game this afternoon.
The weather turned out ok and I'm looking forward to get out for the game. Sadly the weather is suppose to turn bad again this weekend.
So above is a fourth quarter play from the Akron/UB game played on Saturday.
PoD: Roosevelt in the End-Zone

Its been another busy week and another Saturday covering NCAA Football. This time I was in Buffalo covering UB's home game against the Zips of Akron.
While it was cold the weather held out and we stayed dry. Snow and rain was in the forcast buth luckely it stay to the east of Buffalo.
Bulls wide-out Naaman Roosevelt is fun to watch. While the d-back for Akron knocked the ball away on this play Roosevelt made a great play on the ball. At one point I though he might catch the ball and take the defender to the ground with him as he started the catch with his hands behind the defenders back.

So yesterday was maybe the worst day of sports for me in a long time. I went to Livonia and covered the swim team against Bath and the volleyball team against Dansville.
The swimming was ok though Livonia was walking away with it but the volleyball was awful.
Livonia destroyed a Dansville team that really didn't seem to care to play the game. I've never seen 10-15 strait points scored were the losing team basically doesn't touch the ball or when they do it kicks out of bounds.
So above is a picture taken with my Iphone and edited with an app created by Chase Jarvis. It turned out cool after some fun playing around in the edit phase.
PoD: Think Pink

Tonight the York Golden Knights girls soccer team will dress in all pink uni's as part of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Last night I went to the school and met up with senior captain Jenna Lynn and did some shots for a story.
Among the shots was a couple of HDRI shots which is one of them above.
I did a little extra work on it to pump the pink a little more while dropping the color in other area's.
It's not a bad photo for a quick shot I took with no prep or pre-shot set-up.
PoD: Breaking Up the INT

One of my favorite action photo's of the day at Syracuse.
The sequence was good. There are another 2 or 3 images from this play that look good.
It was a great play where both players had a chance to catch the ball and the West Virginia receiver almost made the catch on the ground.
The other interesting thing I found out is the Syracuse player just switched to defense after starting the year out as a wide receiver. So it was like having two wide-outs going for the same ball.
