PoD: Friday Night Lights

I'm at Rhino's Stadium covering High School football. First game is Hornell who is currently winning 33-7 over Newark.

Above is the sun set over the stadium as Newark kicks the extra point.

I figured I'd add this today since I have a full day of cheerleading sectionals tomorrow.

PoD: Avon Champs!

Its 2:30 a.m. and I've been working on photo's for a couple of hours.

I just wanted to post my congrat's to Avon on their second strait Section V football title with their win earlier tonight over Cal-Mum.

PoD: Wet and Rainy

I have a fun weekend ahead but its been rather boring here as there is a small break between the regular season and the play-offs.

During this time I've worked on several things. I've come up with some ideas for our basketball preview next month.

So this morning I took this photo at my house as the rain fell. Its not a real strong photo but I like it for today.

PoD: Class DD Semi-Finals

I shot both Section V Class DD semi-finals....and Class D.......yesterday spending 11 hours at the Marina Auto Stadium in Rochester.

I saw some great football. Like the Braves of Avon who looked tough yesterday as the defeated Alexander to return to the championship game against rival Cal-Mum who won a thriller over Clyde-Savannah.

Its going to be a fun rematch between the high-flying speedy Braves and the ground pounding tough Red Raiders. The last game just about a month ago ended with Avon crushing Cal-Mum by 30 points.

So here's an image from yesterday. I liked the shot though its a little different. I shot it with my fish-eye as the team huddled up at the end after coach talked. Normally I'd shoot from above but this is with my hand jammed in the crowd from below. I liked the look and the way Braves frames the bottom.

PoD: Canisius@Syracuse 2003

I've had a quiet few days as I get ready for a Saturday full of Football. So here is a photo from 2003 as I roamed my files for a sample post.

Its from 2003 when Canisius visited Syracuse as I was there to cover Livonia grad and then Canisius guard Kevin Downey.
